The Australian Dental Association

The Australian Dental Association (Queensland Branch) is a Registered Training Organisation and Member Association for Dentists. ADAQ currently delivers Certificate III & IV level courses in Dental Assisting.  They also now offer a four day Explore the Field of Dentistry Workshop aimed at school aged students interested in pursuing a career within the dental sector.  The Workshop is designed to ensure that those attracted to a career in dentistry have some understanding of the type of work involved.

The Workshop is conducted in their state of the art purpose build dental surgery and auditorium facility which is situated within their premises.  Overall, the workshop is designed to offer students a complete learning experience including preparation of the dental surgery for operation, applying personal protective equipment, basic infection control procedures, reprocessing of instruments, viewing footage of real dental procedures, and employability and resume writing skills. Students are also provided the opportunity to operate and handle sensitive dental equipment and materials in a safe learning environment.

The workshop is offered annually in the first week of the September school holidays. All the information can be access directly from their website at www.adaq.com.au.
