University Open Days

Students, a document has been emailed to your school email address with links to individual tertiary institution open days. Clicking on the links will take you to the relevant pages for each individual institution for information about their open days.

Some of the universities/colleges are only having virtual information sessions, while others are still, at this stage, hosting on campus open day events.

Please look at the sites for the universities/colleges you are interested in attending. Some universities/colleges have cancelled their events; however, they are still included in the following pages so that you can see if there has been a cancellation or not.

The Griffith College link will take you to a Griffith College information page, however the Griffith University link will cover more about the open day/information sessions for this institution.

Information about ATAR registration and release dates and process

If you are planning to apply to tertiary study in 2022, you will need to complete a QTAC Application for institutions managed by QTAC. There are some institutions that require direct applications for entry, and additional application information, so please be mindful that other, non-QTAC applications may need to be completed.

MacGregor State High School will hold a student information session during school, and a parent information evening, to support students and families through the registration and application processes for QTAC. This information will be communicated shortly.

Registration Date

Students, you can register for your ATAR by logging in to your ATAR Portal account. 2021 ATAR registration opens on August 3rd 2021. If you create an account prior to this date, the account will not be confirmed with the QCAA data until August 3rd 2021.

Students who are applying for an ATAR will need the following personal details ready before you get started:

  • Full name (as shown on your QCAA learning account)
  • Date of birth
  • LUI number
  • Personal email address (do not use your school email)
It is a student’s responsibility to register for a QTAC ATAR on the ATAR Portal.

 Release Date for ATAR’s

QTAC and the QCAA have brought forward the 2021 release date of the Queensland ATAR and QCE results to Friday 17 December 2021 between 8am and 9am. This move allows additional time for students to reassess their QTAC application and if required, change their course preferences prior to the December 23 offer round.

Interstate Applications

All Queensland students who are applying interstate need to sign up to the ATAR portal and provide consent for QTAC to share their ATAR with interstate Tertiary Admissions Centers.

You can also download a copy of your ATAR results to share with overseas and other non-QTAC institutions. Students wishing to apply to tertiary study in 2022 outside Queensland will need to visit the relevant application centers as follows to make their applications there:

UAC (University Admissions Centre – New South Wales)

VTAC (Victoria Tertiary Admissions Centre – Victoria)

SATAC (South Australia Tertiary Admissions Centre – South Australia and Northern Territory)

TISC (Tertiary Institutions Service Centre – Western Australia)

UTAS (University of Tasmania)
