Science Camp for year 12 students

CQUniversity Rockhampton will host the first inaugural Science Camp for year 12 science students from Tuesday 28th June to 1st July, 2011. The Science Camp will be a great opportunity for year 12 science students to meet like minded students from outside their own school, get a taste for university life, learn from the scientists at CQUniversity, participate in lots of fun activities and explore a wide range of career options in the field. New Allied Health Programs under consideration

Following the successful introduction of four new health programs in 2011, CQUniversity is considering offering more new allied health programs. The study areas under consideration include health science, oral health, occupational therapy, speech pathology, podiatry and physiotherapy. CQUniversity will aim to keep you updated with information on these proposed program areas as more information becomes available. New Medical and Science Facilities for Mackay Campus

To cater for the introduction of the new medical imaging and sonography programs, a new medical and applied science facility has been constructed at CQUniversity Mackay to host two multipurpose science laboratories. These facilities include a sonography suite with four state-of-the-art ultrasound machines and two radiography suites including computed radiography and digital radiography. CQUniversity also boasts a brand new Computed Tomography (CT) Scanner (pictured) offering students access to state-of-the-art equipment.

New Health Programs going strong

CQUniversity welcomed students into the new allied health programs in Semester 1, 2011. This is an exciting time for CQUniversity with medical imaging, medical sonography, paramedic science and medical science now being offered. The inaugural cohort has seen over 270 students enrolled in these programs, with the largest number of students enrolled in paramedic science.
