Cancer Council Queensland is calling on young Queenslanders aged between 16 and 21 who have been affected by cancer to apply for this year’s Seize the Day Study Awards.
This year, in celebration of the charity’s 50th Anniversary, Cancer Council Queensland will grant $50,000 in study awards to young people affected by cancer.
Individual study awards will range from $200 to $2,000, which is to be used by successful applicants to help them kick-start their careers.
Seize the Day Study Awards are financial grants offered to young Queenslanders to assist with the cost of textbooks, stationery, fees, transport and accommodation incurred during post-secondary education and training.
In 2010, 52 young Queenslanders received $45,000 in awards.
