Pearl Duncan Teaching Scholarships support people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage who plan to commence or continue an approved pre-service teacher education program (full-time) in 2012 at a Queensland higher education institution. Scholarships are available to Year 12 graduates, non-teaching departmental employees, postgraduate and post-school applicants.
Bid O’Sullivan Teaching Scholarships support Year 12 graduates who live in areas of Queensland classified by DET as rural or remote to undertake a pre-service teacher education program at a Queensland higher education institution.
Aspiring Teacher Grants are available to secondary students who complete Year 12 with an OP of 1 to 5 in 2011 and commence a pre-service teacher education program at a Queensland higher education institution in Semester 1, 2012.
