Ordering preferences
In regard to selecting and ordering preferences:
·  Year 12 applicants can apply for courses starting in semester 1, 2013 and semester 2, 2013 on one QTAC application.
·  Up to six course preferences can be listed. It is recommended that ideal, realistic and ‘foot-in-the-door’ courses are  included.
·  When ordering preferences, you must consider the major offer round date for each preference. (Major offer round dates are listed against each course in the QTAC Guide and on the QTAC website). At the time of any major offer round you must ensure the courses in that major offer round are listed higher than courses offered in a subsequent offer round.
·  When an offer is made in one round, applicants have the option of changing their preferences and responding to their offer on a ‘conditional basis’. Giving a conditional response is essential if the applicant wishes to be considered for  higher preferences (new or existing) in a subsequent offer round.

For further information about ordering preferences, see the QTAC Guide, page 11, or the Ordering Preferences movie on the QTAC website.

Current Applicant online service
After you apply you can access the Current Applicant online service via the QTAC website using your LUI (or equivalent IB or interstate student number) or your QTAC application number and PIN.
Through the service you can:
·  change preferences on three separate occasions at no extra charge. Fourth and subsequent changes cost $17 each
·  find out if you have received an offer and download/print your QTAC offer letter
·  respond to an offer
·  update your contact details, QTAC PIN and authorisation details
·  view correspondence from QTAC
·  receive feedback on whether you satisfy the minimum entry requirements for each preference (see the QTAC Guide, page 9)
·  track the assessment of your qualifications and monitor supporting document requirements (see the QTAC Guide, page 9)
·  view and print cover sheets for documentation that you need to provide to QTAC
·  view your OP ineligible rank (from 24 December). This is only relevant for 2012 Qld school-leavers who are QTAC applicants and not eligible for an OP
