New Bachelor of Creative Industries
From Semester One 2014 the University of the Sunshine Coast will provide students the opportunity to study a Bachelor of Creative Industries. The program includes opportunities for industry internships and study tours in addition to being able to study part of the program overseas as part of USC’s GO Program.
Bachelor of Creative Industries

Duration: 3 years full-time or equivalent part-time
Recommended prior study: English
Students are given the flexibility to combine a wide range of major and minor study areas to build a degree which will give our graduates proficiency across different areas of employment within the growing creative industries.
Three new major and minor areas have been introduced alongside the Bachelor of Creative Industries. These new discipline are:
- Serious Games Development
- Screen and Media Studies
- Digital Photographic Practice (minor)
A number of USC’s existing majors and minors can also be studied as part of the new program, these include:
- 3D Design
- Creative Advertising
- Creative Writing
- Drama
- e-Media Design
- Entrepreneurship
- Event Management
- Graphic Design
- Marketing
