In 2010, the Tertiary Prerequisites publication erroneously omitted that a science subject would be a prerequisite for entry in 2013 to UQ’s Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Sciences/Bachelor of Business Management. (Although it was included in the single degree entry.) The prerequisites for this dual program should have been listed as “English (4,SA); Maths A, B or C (4,SA); one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics (4,SA)”. In good faith, students completing Australian Year 12 in 2012 without the science prerequisite will be accepted for entry in 2013, however, UQ wishes to advise such applicants that they may have difficulties with their studies until the required background knowledge of science has been gained.
