University of Queensland Enhanced Studies for Year 11 students

Enhanced Studies Program – apply now

High achieving Year 11 students are invited to apply for the  Enhanced Studies Program (ESP). ESP provides students with an opportunity to extend their studies by completing a university subject in Semester 1 of Year 12. Over 40 courses are available in a range of study areas.
Who can apply?
Students currently completing Year 11, in all Queensland high schools, including on-shore international students and students studying for an IB who:
  • are high academic achievers gaining at least a 'B' cumulative average during Semester 1, Year 11,
  • can participate in ESP during first semester of Year 12,
  • are confident the extra study will not negatively impact their Year 12 studies,
  • have gained support and permission from their parent/guardian and their school to take on the additional workload
Students who participate in ESP enjoy the benefits associated with being a UQ student. Upon successful completion of ESP, students will receive one bonus point towards their university entrance rank through UQ’s Bonus Rank Scheme.
