2014 applications now open!
Applications are now open for students interested in embarking on a volunteering placement in a new culture and community during their gap year in 2014. Lattitude is the original gap year organisation, having supported young Australians on worthwhile and challenging placements for over 40 years.
Placements are available within their region in Asia/Pacific, or further afield in Europe, the Americas and Africa. Exciting additions to the program next year include Japan as a country option, and Medical Assistant placements which will be ideal for those considering a career in a health profession. To help with costs, they have a number of scholarships available to assist with placement fees or flights to certain countries.
Their website runs through all the details and includes an Application Form for students to download. Their application deadline for all placement options this year is Friday 21 June.
Free Flights Competition
Lattitude are pleased to offer the opportunity for one lucky winner to receive a free return flight to their Lattitude placement next year!
The competition is open to any students applying for a 2014 placement by application deadline date; 21 June 2013*. Lattitude are running the competition on Facebook and it is really easy to enter - applicants just need to like their page Lattitude Global Volunteering - Australia and tell them in 50 words or less why they want to volunteer with Lattitude for a chance to win.
The competition is also open until 21 June 2013, and the winner will be chosen through a process of two public votes on Facebook here.
