Australia's largest privately owned shipping company, Sea Swift, is a Cairns based business established over 24 years ago employing in excess of 300 people. Sea Swift have contacted Smithfield High School and asked that we inform our Year 12 students (aged between 17 and 22 years) that they will be offering six cadetships beginning in JAnuary 2012. The cadetships will be offered to both genders and will cover training in vessel operations, all elements of general cargo handling and engineering disciplines.
The cadetship will entail a four year committment and on completion the student will be a qualified ships officer, able to move into senior positions throughout the marine industry.
