For some early leavers and Year 12 completers, the transition is smooth, while
others face challenges finding the right pathway.
With this in mind, the Department of Education and Training is offering a
service to all school leavers to provide them with information on
State-subsidised programs and services, including Skilling Queenslanders for
Work projects.
Students can register their interest by texting YES to 0476 850 648
to receive monthly text prompts in 2017. This will help keep students in touch with
training opportunities. Students will also have the option to request more
individualised information, as well as being able to opt out from the service
at any time.
