The University of Melbourne "Dive into Design" Summer School

The Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning invites secondary students in Years 10, 11 and 12 to take part in an annual four day workshop at the University of Melbourne during the school holiday in December.

Dive into Design introduces students to a range of design skills, programs and concepts, currently used in architecture and design tertiary courses and in the industry, including:

·         Photoshop and SketchUp
·         Architectural drawings and graphics
·         Spatial drawing
·         Urban design
·         Model making
·         Landscape architecture

So what are the criteria to get involved? No prior skills or knowledge is expected. You just need to have an interest in architecture and design.

All sessions are highly interactive and led by experienced tutors, lecturers or industry professionals.

Rural, interstate and overseas students are encouraged to take part in the workshop and live on campus at Trinity College, on the university's campus, for the week.

Experience University life first hand in a safe and friendly environment and gain the practical knowledge they need to make key decisions about their future.
