If you are OP eligible, you must sit for the QCS test later this year. Students who have certain disabilities or medical conditions may apply to the Queensland Studies Authority for either special consideration to vary the conditions under which they sit for the test, or possibly exemption from sitting the QCS.
Students who are granted Special Consideration must still sit for all 4 papers. Special Consideration simply allows certain approved variations to your seating arrangements, time, etc.. For example, students who have a documented medical diagnosis for conditions such as Attention Deficit Disorder, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Diabetes, Epilepsy, Hearing Impairment, Illegible Handwriting, Illness (eg Migraines, Glandular Fever, Chronic Fatigue, Infectious Diseases), medication side-effects, neurological impairment, psychological or emotional impairment, physical impairment, pregnancy, specific learning difficulty, speech language impairment, or visual impairment, should see me to discuss the situation further.
Your application for special consideration which must be sent to the QSA by the end of May. A non-English speaking background is not considered as a disability, impairment, disorder, injury or illness, therefore Special Consideration is not granted solely on the basis of Non-English Speaking Background.
